Springtime Success for Swimmers

41 Borough of Barnsley Swimmers took part in Rotherham Metro's Springtime 50m gala at Ponds Forge over the weekend.

Taking a total of 26 medals and multiple best ever times with support from Club A2 squad coach Joanne Archer and various poolside volunteers the meet was a huge success

• Olivia Byrne (above) brought home gold in the 50m free, 200m free, 100m fly & 50m back, and  silvers in the 50m fly, 100m breaststroke and 100m free
• Alexander Matze brought home gold in the 50,  100m & 200m breaststroke, 200 IM and silver in the 50m back
• Adam Gill secured a gold in the 50m breaststroke
• Roman Wallace wo0n gold in the 50m breaststroke
• Lucas Morton secured a silver in the 50m backstroke and 100m back and bronzes in the 50m freestyle, 50m and 200m breaststroke 
• Poppy Pearson won silver in the 50m breaststroke and bronze in the 200m breaststroke
• Purdy Roberts came home with a silver in the 200m fly and bronze in the 400 IM and 400m free
• Esme Hays won silvers in the 400 IM and 200m backstroke
