What i do:  i Make sure

• All payments made into the bank account are matched to entries/orders on swim manager and chase missing payments. Ensure race payments are paid to the correct competitions.
• All the club bills are paid - eg swim manager, ASA, gala costs etc.
• All the wage costs for our accountant are collated so they can produce wage slips and ensure coaches are paid on time for gala attendance.
• At the end of the year I submit all our account figures to our accountant for them to create our end of year final accounts.

In addition I am one of the Team Managers who support the coaches and swimmers at galas.

How long do you spend being Treasurer: In quiet times in the year 4 hours a week, busy times of the year 12 hours a week.

What's the best thing about the role:  The best thing about the role is seeing the development of the club and the success of our swimmers.

Favourite Event: our galas, they are exhausting but seeing 400 kids swim and know we achieved a successful gala day is why I volunteer for the club. 

How do you relax: I love knitting, a perfect day would be sat in the garden in the sunshine with my knitting creating something.
